2009 Middle California

Officer Training

        

Middle California DCs, Joint DCs, Secretaries and Treasurers:

Please plan on attending a DC and club officer training session to be held in conjunction with the National Testing Orientation on Sunday, February 8, 2009 from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. at the Holiday Inn Express Morgan Hill, 17035 Condit Road, Morgan Hill, CA 95037 (Please note that this is a new location).

This meeting is mandatory for all new DCs and strongly encouraged for continuing DCs and all Joint DCs, Secretaries and Treasurers. Other club committee members and volunteers are also welcome. Please make sure there is at least one representative from your club present.

Topics to be covered include:

  • Organizational structure of USPC

  • USPC, regional and club bylaws

  • Annual Sponsors Meetings

  • Club policies

  • Insurance and liability

  • Regional Communications -- E-mail and web site

  • National Communications -- USPC News, NFN, DC Digest

  • Mounted instruction

  • Unmounted instruction

  • Club ratings (D1 - C2)

  • National ratings (HB, C+/C3, B, H/HA and A)

  • Rallies

  • National Activities and opportunities - Championships, Exchanges, NYC, etc.

  • Recruiting and retaining members

  • Club finances

  • Club equipment

  • Resources available to DCs

    Please let us know if there is anything in else in particular you would like to see covered.

    DCs, or their representative: please bring a copy of your club policies to the meeting.

    Additionally, we will be having a BRIEF (15 - 30 minutes) Regional Council Meeting promptly at 1:00, before the DC Training begins.
